NIRCam on the James Webb Space Telescope:Targets Near and Far

The Near Infrared Camera for JWST plays multiple roles for the mission as it is both the wavefront sensor used to align the telescope, and a science camera with a broad range of capabilities. The NIRCam Instrument Team observing program includes targets ranging from solar system objects to characterizing exoplanets all the way to finding the most distant galaxies. The NIRCam Extragalactic Team is also collaborating with the NIRSpec Team to execute a very large survey with goals of detecting and characterizing galaxies at redshifts greater than 10 and of studying the process of galaxy assembly at lower redshifts.  These programs and how they use NIRCam will be described in detail.
