2018 UTEA Competition in the Faculty of Arts & Science

06 Mar 2018

2018 University of Toronto Excellence Awards (UTEA) competition is now open and accept applications.

The UTEA program in the Faculty of Arts & Science is designed to support undergraduate students while working on a summer research project over 14 weeks under the direction of a faculty member whose primary appointment is in the Faculty of Arts & Science.

The value of awards are $6,000 for Social Sciences and Humanities (all covered by VPRI), and $6,000 for Natural Sciences and Engineering ($4,875 covered by VPRI, minimum $1,125 top-up required from the Supervisor or Unit).

Using an allocation model based on CRC-eligible Tri-council performance, the VPRI has allocated the Faculty of Arts & Science 19 SSH UTEA Awards and 15 NSE UTEA Awards in 2018. Please note that the competition has historically generated an applicant pool that far surpassed the number of awards available.

Applications are due at 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday, 16 March, 2018 at the Office of the Vice Dean, Research & Infrastructure via
research.artsci@utoronto.ca
