The David A Dunlap Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is looking to hire assistant invigilators to help with oversight of in-person midterm and final examinations for AST101 (fall session 2025) and AST201 + AST251 (winter session 2026).

Positions Available: 15

Contract Hours: 3-20 (varies with number of exam shifts)

The first assistant invigilator opportunity is on Tuesday, September 30th from 1pm-4pm.

A one hour paid orientation is provided as part of the contract.

Rate of Pay:

$34.90 per hour + applicable vacation pay (fall 2025 session)
$35.53 per hour + applicable vacation pay (winter 2026 session)

Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in a graduate degree in astronomy & astrophysics. Prior experience as an invigilator or a teaching assistant is an asset.
