Discuss thesis ideas and plans with committee. Provide a short (3-4p) Thesis Proposal, go over plan and timeline in detail with committee. Discuss "composition of Thesis Qualifier quorum", which means: which two other profs will be invited to assess the Thesis Qualifier? |

| October | Supervisory Committee meeting | First of your
bi-yearly meetings on thesis progress. Write a 2-3 page summary of progress and difficulties. Include (1) your original timeline. (2) a revised timeline with notes on alterations. Meetings should start with 5-10min for discussion without the supervisor present, so you can discuss any difficulties with supervision. They end with a discussion among faculty in which the grade is determined. |
