Astronomy Book and Software Reviews

You will find citations for reviews of books on subjects related to astronomy and astrophysics from 1987. Also covered are brief book notices that give information useful in deciding whether or not to acquire an item. After mid 1998, these brief citations are marked [B].
The software reviews are more limited. Only reviews of professional level or important teaching software are included. For more software reviews, use the links listed under Other Review Sources, on this page.

The Astronomy Book and Software Reviews were created in 1987 by Marlene Cummins first as a paper text and later added to the library web pages with a searchable interface. The reviews are also uploaded to NASA's ADS database.
