The first pieces of music at the start of class were movements 10 to 13 of “Die Schoepfung,” by Haydn (movement 11 is “let there be light”). The movie showed a simulation of the formation of stars, by Bate, Bonnell, & Brom; www.ukaff.ac.uk/starcluster/.
The second piece was “The Sun Song,” sent by one of you, with a movie of the Sun's energetic surface made by the TRACE satellite.
