I’m extremely pleased to share the wonderful news that Mike Reid has been awarded a President’s Teaching Award! The President’s Teaching Award is the university’s highest honour for teaching excellence, educational innovation and educational leadership. This is a great recognition of all of the amazing work in teaching innovation both at UofT and beyond and in outreach that has defined Mike’s career. We’ve all benefited so much from being Mike’s colleagues, learning so much from his thoughtful work on astronomy education and always generously helping others in the department improve their own teaching. Having such an exemplary teacher and mentor amongst us makes us all better teachers and mentors. Congratulations Mike!
