After the great success of our Family Reunion in 2002, we met again in Australia. Rosemary and Stefan were the incomparable hosts. Dana & Andrzej came from from Gdansk, Poland; Anna & I were in Australia and New Zealand because of the International Astronomical Union conferences. It was a memorable event, started on the evening the visitors came to Rosemary and Stefan in Brisbane then continued through further festivities at home and through the most enjoyable visit of Ben, the son of Rosemary and Stefan, when the four somewhat similar individuals took a photo.
We continued our great time in Culoundra, some 150 km North of Brisbane where our hosts rented an extremely nice summer apartment (the Australian winter did feel to us as a summer!). We continued with meals, talks and even a dip in the moderately cold (20C) ocean.
The parents of the groom were happy to start the ceremony...
...in full excitement of the moment.

The mother of the bride prepared a traditional
sake ceremony. There was also a somewhat Polish bread and
salt ceremony at the beginning of the wedding.

The descendents of Helena and Gorgoniusz (Franek) Rucinski of Grudziadz, Poland ( charming old photos), met on July 27 - 29, 2000 in Gdansk. Dana and Andrzej were the formidable hosts. Stefan came from Australia and we (Anna and Slavek) came from Canada. This was a memorable event.

The fiancé of Kuba, Akiko , and his parents surprised Kuba by organizing a birthday for him with some 20+ of his friends attending.

At about the time that we were in Hawaii, Kuba had his official graduation in 1997. You may like to see Kuba in his "I-have-finished the-Waterloo-University" outfit. Note the Steel Ring of a Canadian engineer, supposedly made of the famous bridge that disintegrated by itself.
