RCS2 Megacam imaging status

Data taken: 747 square degrees

The image below is the all-sky dust map of Schlegel & Finkbeiner with the fields of major surveys overplotted. White boxes show the individual planned MegaCam pointings for RCS2. Each patch already submitted into the phase II queue is show in close-up lower down the page. Blue and white circles show stars taken from the Bright Star Catalogue 4 and these are coloured according to magnitude (blue: 4<m<6 white: m<4). Pointings containing stars which are too bright must be omitted from a planned patch. Such pointings are labelled with a red cross in the patch maps below. Survey areas: red -- RCS1; yellow -- UKIDSS DEX, LAS; magenta -- DEEP2, HDF-N, CDF-S, Subaru Deep fields; cyan -- SWIRE; green -- VIRMOS; smaller white regions -- Legacy Wide & Deep
