International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009)

• The year 2009 was the International Year of Astronomy and in honour of IYA2009, I wrote a few articles for the Thamesville Herald, a weekly newspaper in the town where I grew up.

• I taught astronomy at the University of Toronto for more than 30 years. I retired in January 2006.
