CITATION: Howard Yee is an inventive astronomer internationally known for his optimal use of large telescopes in the observation of distant galaxies. He pioneered an efficient method for the discovery of large samples of distant galaxy clusters, crucial in the study of the evolution of galaxy clusters and galaxies and providing constraints on cosmological models.
