Mubdi Wins 2012 Fieldus Award

Department Chair, Prof. Howard Yee announced on Feb 14, 2012 that Mubdi Rahman is the winner of the 2012 Fieldus Award given "on the basis of outstanding and sustained contributions to two or more of:  academic achievement (including research), teaching, or service to the Department of Astronomy."

Mubdi is cited in his nomination on his excellent research in star formation, and his long-time dedication to public outreach and education, and exceptional leadership in many departmental activities, including, but certainly not limited to, his GASA presidency.
