Emily Deibert is the recipient of the departmental Fieldus award this year
20 Dec 2021Dear Astro-community,I am delighted to announce that Emily Deibert is the recipient of the departmental Fieldus award this year. Emily has demonstrated research excellence in her work on exoplanet atmospheric characterization, leading various observational programs to detect or constrain the presence of atmospheric constituents within exoplanet atmospheres. Emily has also been very active in various leadership roles. She spearheaded the creation of the Undergraduate Astronomy Student Union, acting as a graduate mentor and spokesperson in later years. During her time as GASA co-president, Emily fearlessly advocated for better working and living conditions for her fellow graduate students. Congratulations Emily!
