Journals with
book reviews
in them.

Depending on where you've come from to this page, you might be mystified as to what the 'other' in the header refers. An excellent source of reviews (source info only- not full text) for Astronomy and Astrophysics books, especially scholarly ones, is

Astronomy and Astrophysics Book and Software Reviews

by the University of Toronto Astronomy and Astrophysics Library.

This service was started because the primary astronomy and astrophysics indexes, Astronomischer Jahresbericht, Astronomy and Astrophysics Abstracts, ARIBIB, do not index book reviews, nor does INSPEC.

World of Science (the online database based on Science Citation Index) does index them but it is expensive and many people do not have ready access to it.

Some individual journals index book reviews, e.g. the Journal of the Royal Society of Canada does. So does Nature (by book author, review author, title).

ADS (NASA's Astrophysics Data Service) has book reviews from Helen Knudsen's Monthly Index (~1978-1988) and now from Astronomy and Astrophysics Book and Software Reviews (~1987- ). But you might as well search the latter directly!
