Here you will find citations for reviews of books on subjects related to astronomy and astrophysics. Coverage is from 1987 (with a handful of 1986 citations). Also covered are brief book notices (but not advertisements) that give information useful in deciding whether or not to acquire an item. After mid 1998, these brief citations are marked [B].

The software reviews are more limited. Only reviews of professional level or important teaching software are included. You may prefer to look at the annotated list John Mosley's Astro Software Revue in Sky and Telescope Magazine. Another place to start searching for software is SEDS' (Students for Exploration and Development of Space) list of Planetarium software which has links to other lists of various kinds of astro software.

You may either browse text files of reviews published in the last quarter or year, or you may search a database of reviews published since 1987 (for books) and mid-1994 (for software). (Note that the truncation feature of this searching software is unreliable- use as long a string as possible.)
