Computer books and more

UofT has licensed thousands of electronic books in the fields of business, computer, popular interest, reference and undergraduate texts. The vendors and terms of use for these vary. (For example, Netlibrary is just one of several vendors/publishers. For Netlibrary special software is not required to read the book online and once you set up an account on a machine with a UofT IP, then you may access your books from anywhere.) Cookies are required for at least some vendors.

Electronic books have several features that paper books do not have; e.g. the capacity to look up word definitions on the fly; search for terms in the text or across whole collections; make, save and share personal annotations. Not all vendors have enabled all capabilities.

IEEE conferences etc.     O'Reilly books.
